C. Most Popoular Full Cell Phone Insurance - All Regular phones (not advanced devices)

     Offered

  • Extended warranty
  • Phone damage
  • Lost phone and stolen

#1: AT&T insurance providing comprehensive cover at a very low premium of $4.99 ($60 pa) on regular phone protection with deductibles of $50. Recently the Blackberry Curve insurance was pulled into this category: Excellent phone insurance value

#2: Verizon insurance is making a hard attack in this bread-and-butter cell insurance category by offering the same cell phone insurance benefits for $1 more per month, but their deductible is $11 less. Just introduced but good showing for so little time in the phone insurance arena

 E. Most Popular Full Cell Insurance Advanced Devices - Excludes iphones

     Offered

  • Extended warranty
  • Phone damage
  • Lost phone and stolen
#1: AT&T insurance if you take iPhone insurance out of the equation. Their premium of $4.99 pm is on its own the cheapest in the cellular insurance business for Blackberry insurance or similar, and the phone insurance deductible ($100 - $125) is either the same or little more than other phone providers like Verizon Insurance or Sprint insurance. On iPhone insurance specifically AT&T have seriously damaged their high rating at top of this important cellular insurance pile (see below).

 F. Most unpopular phone insurance issues in the last year

#1: Finding out that iPhone insurance really doesn’t exist at AT&T the exclusive iPhone distributors. They do not offer iPhone insurance for lost phone, stolen or phone damage.

#2:  You missed getting phone insurance because your phone provider prescribes limited days to get cell insurance from date of activation. Some will provide cellular insurance within 30 days of activation (AT&T insurance and Sprint Insurance) and some only within 14 days of activation.

#3: Learning that claiming lost phone or having phone damage under your cell phone insurance at AT&T and other phone service providers doesn’t mean you will get the same phone as a replacement

 G. Most Phone insurance bought despite negative features

These plans sell on the back of the phone plans for the most part, not on their own merits:

#1: Sprint: Extended warranty at $4 pm. Complaint: far too expensive.

#2:T Mobile Insurance: Complaint: Phone tier plan too complicated for anyone to understand.

#3: Cellular One (San Luis Osibo): Complaint: Cell insurance plan as complicated as T Mobile
